Cut the Red Tape

As a licensed Customs Broker and the ability to customs clear goods at all border crossings across Canada it is our speciality to help clients cut through the red tape of importing.

Below are instructions on how a commercial (business) importer would get started.

For commercial shipments (not for personal use) an importer must have a valid import number with Canada Revenue Agency. The number is usually the same as your GST number, however, it ends with an RM0001.

If you have an active GST number you can call CRA at 800-959-5525, hit * key and speak to the CRA representative about activating an import number. There is no charge to activate your import number with CRA.

Depending on the goods you want to import, you may need permits from other government departments for the goods to be allowed into Canada.
